Invite some magic into your life one of these "a-door-able" fairy doors. Place these enchanted doors in your home or garden, creating a mystical portal that allows the fae folk to travel between their realm and ours. Please remember that we, as humans, do not have the ability to open these doors, only the fairies can open them. :)

The Primitive Door is used by the hard working Brownie. He likes to putter around in your garden or around the house. Brownies are very private, so it is best to let them go about their business without paying much attention to them. You may show your appreciation for their hard work by leaving a small bowl of milk for them.

All our doors are handcrafted using only premium red cedar. Cedar is the only wood that can withstand the elements untreated. However, we use an exterior finish to protect the colour from fading over time. The Primitive frame has been stained a rich mahogany. Each little door has been hand painted with acrylic paints. In this case, the colours are antiqued brown and antiqued red. The hardware we choose is either zinc based, copper or bronze. These metals tend to age nicely over time, adding character to the door. A keyhole has been cut into the back of the door to hang from a screw or nail.

Fairy doors make a great addition to your garden. Simply place them amongst the flowers, lean against a tree or a rock. If you prefer to keep your door inside, they look great along the baseboard, on a stair riser or even just hung on the wall.

All doors are shipped in a gift box with a write up on the back introducing the artist, explaining what a fairy door is, and where to place them. Makes a great gift for all ages.

Sugar Bush Fairy Doors is a home based studio located in the Annapolis Valley area of Nova Scotia, Canada. We design and create unique, decorative, handcrafted wooden fairy doors for your home or garden. They come in a large variety of adorable styles to capture the eye of the most discriminating pixie, sprite, elf, brownie, leprechaun, hobbit or other friendly fairy folk. Finding a home for your fairy door is easy. They can be placed in your flower garden, at the base of a tree, leaned against a rock, placed inside on a bookshelf, hung on a wall or set them low against a baseboard. Where ever you decide, they are sure to attract a wandering fairy looking for a home. Remember, these are fairy doors, intended only for the magical wee folk, so they do not open for us. Each door is handcrafted from premium western red cedar, selected for its unique grain and knot features. They are then hand painted and sealed with a durable exterior finish to protect them from the elements. All the hardware and decorative embellishments are also carefully selected to add to the magic of each door.
