Why This Workshop?

Nia Vardalos has written and directed for stage, screen, and print. When Nia was starting out in the film industry, she wrote the screenplay for My Big Fat Greek Wedding. However, she didn’t have an agent and couldn’t get her script read by any studio. So, she turned the material into a solo stage play, which caught the eye of producers Gary Goetzman, Rita Wilson, and Tom Hanks. Nia was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, a Golden Globe for Best Actress, and won the Independent Spirit Award and People's Choice Awards. My Big Fat Greek Wedding is the number one romantic comedy of all time.

In this workshop, Nia will share the lessons, valuable missteps, and breakthroughs that helped her (and can help you) find your path as a writer.

You can chose between GENERAL ADMISSION and GA + MEET & GREET.

General Admission: Participate in our event LIVE with event chat, shout-outs, and access to viewable video you can rewatch after the Momentus event! Ten lucky General Admission ticket holders will be picked at random to receive Front Row access! The Front-Row will be able to interact with the Host, so be prepared... you may be called upon during the show!
General Admission + Meet & Greet: Upgrade your ticket to include an exclusive post-event Meet & Greet! You must have a General Admission in order to join our Meet & Greet sessions.

These events are held through Zoom. So make sure your Zoom app is updated.

HOW DO MEET & GREETS WORK?

These will sell out fast, so purchase this option as soon as possible.

Meet & Greet sessions will be offered on a limited basis and are generally a roughly 20-minute roundtable with up to 15 participants.

Additional event Meet & Greet opportunities or sessions may become available, based on the Guest Host's schedule, but may not be bundled.
