In Norse mythology, Odin is the most powerful of all the Viking gods. He rules from Asgard, and sends his two ravens, Huginn and Muginn, to fly all over the world. When they return, the two ravens sit on Odin's shoulders and tell him all that they saw. Hugin represents memory, and Muginn represents thought. They were considered to be a part of Odin himself, and would spy on his enemies so he would know how to fight them in battle.
